API Developer – Java & Middleware Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an API Developer to design, build and maintain enterprise‑scale integration solutions. The role focuses on Java‑based services and middleware platforms, working within an Agile team to deliver reliable, high‑performance APIs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and support Java 7/8 APIs and integration flows using IBM ESB (IIB/ACE) or similar middleware.
• Design, implement and test SOAP and REST web services.
• Collaborate with product owners and architects in Scrum, Kanban or SAFe environments.
• Maintain code quality through unit testing, continuous integration and automated deployment pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews, refactoring and performance tuning.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Java development at enterprise scale or in IBM ESB middleware.
• Hands‑on experience with Agile methodologies and test‑driven development.
• Strong understanding of automation tools and CI/CD processes.
