Appeals Handler

About the role

Debt Recovery Plus, part of the Bristow & Sutor Group (over 500 employees in debt recovery across the UK), is strengthening its Appeals Handling team and is hiring an Appeals Handler. The role is hybrid, based in the Denton office in Manchester, and involves handling written appeals for private parking charge notices.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to written appeals for private parking charge notices within the Appeals Team.
• Analyse case-by-case data and collate the relevant written responses.
• May operate a customer service phone line to advise customers on how to appeal.
• Prioritise tasks, work independently and manage a busy workload while meeting KPIs.

Required profile

• No previous experience needed, but great written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Self-motivated, able to manage your own workload and solve problems and make decisions.
• Accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to work quickly and accurately.
• Good written communication skills.

Required skills

• Sound IT skills, including Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Computer experience is required.
