Applied Engineer

About the role

The Applied Engineer provides on‑site engineering services to Mitsubishi Electric customers across a defined UK region. Acting as the face of the company, you will deliver high‑quality maintenance, repairs, commissioning and emergency support for a wide range of HVAC equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and quoted works on chiller, heat‑pump and air‑conditioning systems.
• Respond to emergency call‑outs and participate in a standby rota.
• Commission and start‑up new installations in line with regulations and company standards.
• Document all work electronically in real time and submit reports to the regional service office.
• Assist the Regional Service Manager in building strong customer relationships and identifying remedial work.
• Provide on‑the‑job coaching to less experienced service team members.

Required profile

• Relevant technical qualifications for HVAC service engineering.
• Ability to travel across the UK region, with occasional overnight stays.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the capacity to work independently on site.

Required skills

• Knowledge of major chiller, heat‑pump and air‑conditioning equipment brands.
• Preventative maintenance techniques.
• System troubleshooting and repair.
