Arboriculture Consultant / Senior Consultant – Ecology Projects

About the role

Origin Enterprises, through its Brooks Ecological arm, is seeking an Arboriculture Consultant or Senior Arboriculture Consultant to join its growing Arboriculture team in Leeds. You will work on a variety of projects ranging from large‑scale habitat restoration to private developments, collaborating closely with in‑house ecology and landscape specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys, including BS 5837 2012 tree condition assessments.
• Produce robust technical reports at senior level.
• Prepare Arboricultural Impact Assessments (AIAs) and Arboricultural Method Statements (AMSs).
• Assist with client liaison and communication.
• Plan resources and manage workload across multiple projects.
• Support the wider team’s vision and objectives.

Required profile

• Relevant arboriculture qualification (e.g., FdSc Arb, BSc).
• Strong knowledge of BS 5837 2012 surveys and AIA/AMS preparation.
• Senior‑level technical report writing experience.
• Proven ability to identify and manage risks and opportunities.
• Experience leading and organising field surveys.
• Excellent understanding of UK and European environmental legislation and planning systems.
• Ability to balance priorities and maintain client relationships under pressure.
• Solid health and safety awareness for site work.
• Full UK driving licence.
