Architectural Technologist

About the role

P+HS Architects is seeking an experienced, purpose‑driven Architectural Technologist to lead the technical delivery of projects across all RIBA design stages, from concept through to completion. The role combines hands‑on technical work with team leadership, client liaison and coordination with consultants and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project teams and manage technical delivery through every RIBA stage.
• Mentor and support junior team members.
• Prepare and deliver drawings, specifications, schedules and reports, or oversee the team to produce them.
• Conduct site surveys and visits as required.
• Manage statutory approvals, including planning and building regulations.
• Maintain strong client relationships throughout project lifecycles.
• Plan resources, monitor progress and manage project budgets and fee expenditure.
• Ensure compliance with practice quality‑assurance procedures.

Required profile

• Willingness to become a member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (ACIAT) and work towards MCIAT accreditation.
• Working towards or holding a BSc/ HNC/HND in Architectural Technology.
• Current CSCS card or ability to obtain one immediately.
• Experience in a similar technical role managing projects and teams.
• Strong knowledge of construction, health & safety legislation, planning standards and UK building regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a positive, adaptable attitude.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• AutoCAD.
• Revit.
