Area Manager – Operations Leadership

About the role

Amazon Logistics is seeking an Area Manager to lead a site in Banbury, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality operations. You will drive a culture of safety, oversee shift performance, and implement process improvements that support Amazon’s expanding delivery network across the EU.

Key responsibilities

• Create and sustain a safety‑first environment while promoting employee wellbeing.
• Analyze shift performance data, identify gaps, and execute actions to boost productivity and quality.
• Lead projects that streamline processes, optimize throughput, and enhance customer service.
• Collaborate with senior management to standardise shift practices and drive operational excellence.
• Mentor new managers and act as a role model for the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• Proven experience in people management and leading cross‑functional teams.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
• Ability to use data to influence business decisions.

Required skills

• Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques.
• Proficiency with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• SQL knowledge for data querying.
