Area Sales Manager – Northwest England

About the role

Our client, a well‑established manufacturer and supplier of flooring, adhesives and building materials, is looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to expand sales with regional and national specifiers across Northwest England. This full‑time, territory‑based position offers the chance to work directly with construction professionals and drive product adoption in a dynamic market.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with specifiers, contractors and construction companies throughout the Northwest England territory.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs by promoting the full product range.
• Conduct hands‑on product demonstrations, training sessions and technical support for customers.
• Identify upselling and cross‑selling opportunities to increase revenue.
• Ensure customer expectations are met through timely service and follow‑up.
• Prepare weekly KPI reports and keep all administrative records up to date.

Required profile

• Proven customer‑facing experience, preferably within the DIY, construction or building‑materials sector.
• Solid background in the building and construction industry.
• Full, clean UK driving licence (essential) and willingness to travel regularly across the territory.
• Proactive, organised approach with the ability to work independently.
