Area Sales Manager – West Midlands (Heavy Plant & Equipment)

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Area Sales Manager to lead the sales of heavy plant and construction equipment across the West Midlands and surrounding counties. This field‑based position requires a motivated professional with a proven record in plant, construction, or heavy equipment sales.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new sales leads through networking, referrals and prospecting.
• Identify, penetrate and close business opportunities, including parts and service sales.
• Consistently meet or exceed sales and profitability targets.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure accurate specifications and timely delivery.
• Develop and nurture a network of new and existing customer relationships.

Required profile

• Experience in the heavy plant sector, preferably in machinery or parts sales.
• Motivated, target‑driven and able to work independently.
• Self‑starter with strong organisational skills.
• Customer‑focused mindset with credible sector knowledge.
• Flexible approach to work across the West Midlands and surrounding areas.
