Art & Design Teacher – Full‑time, September start

About the role

Cover People is recruiting an Art & Design Teacher for a supportive secondary school in Manchester. The position starts in September 2026 and runs for at least one full term, welcoming both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality Art & Design lessons for KS3 and GCSE students in line with the national curriculum.
• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, creative sessions that develop artistic skills and critical thinking.
• Monitor, assess and record pupil progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain effective classroom behaviour management and a positive learning environment.
• Support the personal and academic development of all learners.
• Contribute to department planning, whole‑school initiatives and collaborative projects.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Art & Design at KS3 and GCSE level.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
• Passion for student progress and creative education.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.
