Asbestos Surveyor – Chelmsford

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to join a well‑established consultancy serving Chelmsford and surrounding areas. The position offers a balanced mix of domestic (≈70%) and commercial (≈30%) projects, providing variety while maintaining realistic workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Management, Refurbishment, and Demolition asbestos surveys in line with HSG264.
• Conduct surveys primarily on domestic properties with occasional commercial sites.
• Produce accurate, compliant asbestos survey reports.
• Manage your own workload and ensure all activities meet current legislation and HSE guidance.

Required profile

• BOHS P402 (or equivalent) qualification.
• Proven experience as an Asbestos Surveyor.
• Strong understanding of asbestos legislation and compliance.
• Ability to work independently.
• Full UK driving licence.

Required skills

• Asbestos survey reporting.
• Knowledge of HSG264 standards.
• Application of asbestos legislation.
