Assistant Branch Manager

About the role
City Plumbing is looking for a results‑driven Assistant Branch Manager to support the day‑to‑day operations of its Crawley branch. You will work closely with the Branch Manager, identify sales opportunities and build trusted relationships with customers.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the team and resources in the Branch Manager’s absence.
- Assist the Branch Manager in meeting and exceeding branch sales targets profitably.
- Oversee the sales office, purchasing and stock control.
- Maximise margin and net profit while maintaining safety standards.
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing trade and retail customers.
Required profile
- Innovative and agile mindset with a focus on growth opportunities.
- Pro‑active, results‑oriented approach to sales and business development.
- Strong customer‑relationship management and partnership skills.
- Excellent communication, confidence and self‑motivation.
- Ability to interpret basic financial and statistical information.
