Assistant Finance Manager (Mandarin or Cantonese Speaking)

About the role

A leading international food manufacturer serving retailers, distributors and foodservice partners in international markets is looking for a Mandarin or Cantonese speaking Assistant Finance Manager based in London. The role is hybrid, with one day a week in the office, and pays up to £50,000 per annum depending on experience.

Key responsibilities

• Drive day-to-day finance operations, financial reporting, cash flow and controls while supporting business performance and process improvements
• Lead and oversee Accounts Payable, ensuring accurate and timely invoice processing and payments
• Manage month-end and year-end reporting, including financial and management accounts
• Oversee cash flow, banking activities and intercompany transactions
• Supervise finance and accounting operations and guide and support the wider team
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis, identifying opportunities, risks and areas for improved performance
• Maintain financial controls, tax compliance and audit processes in line with regulations and Group policies
• Partner with internal stakeholders and the Head Office, providing clear financial information to support business decisions
• Lead and support finance projects, system implementations and process improvements

Required profile

• Fluent English and Mandarin or Cantonese (written and spoken) is essential
• Degree in Finance / Accountancy or similar
• Professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent) is necessary
• Experience in a finance role, with strong experience in financial accounting, reporting, controls and cash flow management
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and strong commercial awareness
• Highly organised, proactive, able to take ownership and work to deadlines
• Right to work in the UK

• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
• SAP experience is desirable
