Assistant Investment Manager

About the role

Our client, an award‑winning discretionary investment and fund management firm, is seeking an Assistant Investment Manager to join their front‑office team in Bath. Working under a Senior Investment Manager, you will support external clients and contribute to the delivery of a high‑quality, client‑centric service.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor client portfolios regularly and prepare necessary transactions to align with investment objectives.
• Maintain a high level of client care, handling non‑trade instructions promptly.
• Produce and dispatch valuations and contract notes within internal timescales.
• Respond efficiently to communications from clients and introducers.
• Develop and nurture relationships with existing and potential clients and introducers.
• Stay up‑to‑date with market and investment news, applying relevant developments to benefit clients and the firm.

Required profile

• Motivated individual with a strong interest in investment management.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively under supervision.
• Willingness to obtain CISI Level 4 qualification (full exam support provided).

Required skills

• Proficiency in using investment‑related software and tools (e.g., portfolio monitoring systems).
