About the role

Metro Pubs is recruiting an Assistant Manager for its Red Lion pub in Grantchester. The post is full time and permanent, with a salary of £31,000 to £34,750 plus bonus and service charge. The Assistant Manager sits at the heart of the management team, supporting the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the business and leading the team in delivering great experiences for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the business and lead the business in their absence.
• Lead the team in delivering great experiences for customers and bring the brand to life.
• Act as a role model for the team and support training and development.
• Champion brand standards and ensure customer and team safety at all times.

Required profile

• Passion for delivering great customer experiences.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to get the best out of people.
• Ability to think on your feet and adapt to the challenges of a busy shift.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to high standards.
• Sufficient spoken and written English to perform the role safely and understand allergen controls.
