Assistant Quantity Surveyor

About the role

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will support the commercial team in day‑to‑day financial control, reporting and performance management of a Voids refurbishment contract, which forms part of a larger Repairs and Voids contract. You will work closely with the lead Quantity Surveyor to manage cash flow, applications, certifications, invoicing, payments and subcontractor accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with cash management, including timely applications, certifications, invoicing and payment processing.
• Administer subcontractor accounts and ensure accurate record‑keeping.
• Support measurement and valuation activities on voids refurbishment projects.
• Prepare and update budgets, forecasts, CVR’s and supplementary financial reports.
• Contribute to the preparation of final accounts and cost control documentation.

Required profile

• Knowledge of construction measurement and valuation.
• Understanding of budgets, forecast management and financial reporting.
• Experience on a Voids Refurbishment contract as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor.
• Familiarity with cyclical and planned maintenance processes.
• Competency in IT systems and relevant software packages.
• Level 4 qualification in Construction, Management or a comparable field.
• Desirable: CSCS White Card or working towards it.
