Assistant Showroom Manager – Fixed-Term (12 months)

About the role

The Assistant Showroom Manager will support the Showroom Manager in meeting sales targets and delivering a consistently high level of customer service. This 12‑month fixed‑term position involves overseeing stock, processing orders and stepping in to manage the store when the Store Manager is absent.

Key responsibilities

• Maximise sales opportunities across the showroom.
• Provide professional, efficient customer service in a welcoming environment.
• Assist with recruitment, supervision, motivation and training of the sales team.
• Prepare staff rotas to ensure adequate coverage.
• Coordinate with operational teams to complete customer orders on time and communicate any delays.
• Open the premises safely each day and secure them at closing.
• Handle cash, end‑of‑day administration and secure customer payments.
• Maintain accurate stock control, minimise wastage and process order details.
• Fulfil both in‑store and online orders efficiently.
• Resolve customer complaints and queries.
• Schedule quotations, installations and deliveries while keeping customers informed.
• Uphold high standards of cleanliness, presentation and organisation.
• Comply with health and safety policies.
• Provide operational support at alternative business locations when required.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation.

• Reliability to manage the store in the manager’s absence.
• Attention to detail for stock control and order processing.
