Assistant Showroom Manager – Fixed‑Term (12‑Month)

About the role

The Assistant Showroom Manager will support the Showroom Manager in delivering sales targets, providing high‑quality customer service and ensuring smooth store operations across a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Maximise sales opportunities within the store.
• Deliver professional, customer‑focused service and maintain a welcoming environment.
• Support recruitment, supervision, motivation and training of the sales team.
• Assist in preparing staff rotas to ensure adequate coverage.
• Liaise with operational teams to ensure customer orders are completed on time and keep customers informed of any delays.
• Open the premises on time, secure the store at closing and handle cash and end‑of‑day administration.
• Develop product knowledge within the team to help customers and drive sales.
• Accurately process order details, measurements and quotations.
• Fulfil in‑store and online orders efficiently and securely collect payments.
• Support stock control procedures and minimise waste.
• Resolve customer complaints and queries.
• Coordinate appointments for quotations, installations and deliveries.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and organisation.
• Comply with health and safety policies and provide operational support at other locations when required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a retail or showroom environment.
• Ability to assume management responsibilities in the Store Manager’s absence.
• Strong organisational skills, including rota planning and stock control.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues.
• Customer‑service orientation with the ability to handle complaints and queries.
• Flexibility to work across multiple store locations when needed.
