Assistant Site Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Site Manager to join Arazu Construction Ltd’s on‑site team in the South East of England. Working closely with the Site Manager, you will help ensure construction projects are delivered safely, on schedule and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily site supervision and coordinate trades and subcontractors.
• Monitor progress against project plans, timelines and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with UK health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Assist with material, plant and logistics management on‑site.
• Maintain site documentation such as daily records, permits, inspections and reports.
• Facilitate communication between the project team, clients and the supply chain.
• Participate in site meetings and help resolve issues promptly.
• Promote a clean, safe and well‑organized work environment.

Required profile

• Relevant construction qualification (NVQ, HNC/HND, degree in Construction Management) or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of site operations, sequencing and building methods.
• Knowledge of UK health, safety and environmental regulations.
• CSCS card (or willingness to obtain) and preferably SMSTS/SSSTS training.
• Ability to travel across the South East and work outdoors in varying weather.

Required skills

• Proficiency with basic digital tools such as email and spreadsheets.
• Experience using project or site management software for reporting and documentation.
