Assistant Site Manager

About the role

The Berkeley Group is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of the Winterbrook Meadows development in Wallingford. You will work closely with the senior site team, consultants and subcontractors to ensure the smooth progression of internal works from second fix through to handover.

Key responsibilities

• Support coordination and delivery of all internal works from second fix through to completion and handover, ensuring efficient sequencing of trades.
• Work closely with the Senior Site Team, consultants and subcontractors to maintain the programme and resolve on‑site challenges.
• Monitor progress of second‑fix activities, identify and escalate risks to minimise delays.
• Maintain clear communication with the Senior Site Team, providing regular updates on progress and issues.
• Build strong relationships with subcontractors and stakeholders to foster a collaborative site environment.
• Promote a positive, professional culture aligned with Berkeley Group values.
• Drive a strong Health & Safety culture on site, ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies.
• Ensure all works meet statutory requirements, Berkeley standards and site processes.
• Monitor quality of finishes and workmanship, identifying and resolving defects promptly.
• Maintain accurate digital quality records and documentation using Fieldview EDM.
• Support high customer satisfaction and contribute to IHR scores, Net Promoter Score and site presentation standards.

Required profile

• Demonstrable experience within residential construction or a similar sector.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Fieldview EDM for managing digital quality records.
