Assistant Town Planner – Oxford (Hybrid)

About the role

The award‑winning planning and architecture consultancy is seeking an Assistant Town Planner for its Oxford studio. You will work in a design‑driven environment, supporting senior planners on a variety of residential, mixed‑use and regeneration schemes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals.
• Support site appraisals and planning research.
• Prepare planning statements and reports.
• Liaise with clients, local authorities and consultants.
• Collaborate with in‑house architects and designers on project development.
• Help coordinate multidisciplinary project teams.

Required profile

• RTPI‑accredited degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
• Some relevant experience (placement year or previous role desirable).
• Strong interest in design‑led development and placemaking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proactive and collaborative approach.
