Assistant Vice President – Agency Transaction Manager

About the role

This position is for an Assistant Vice President who will manage agency loan transactions for a leading global bank. You will be responsible for the end‑to‑end processing of syndicated loan deals, ensuring compliance with LMA/LSTA standards and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of syndicated loan transactions, including amendments, waivers, drawdowns, repayments, interest events, and covenant monitoring (including ESG).
• Oversee collateral and security trustee duties, borrowing‑base maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
• Act as the primary point of contact for borrowers, lenders, legal counsel, front‑office and internal stakeholders.
• Review and verify colleagues’ work for accuracy and consistency.
• Prioritise daily workflow, escalates issues, and support resolution of complex queries.
• Contribute to process improvements, policy updates and change initiatives.
• Provide subject‑matter expertise on agency loan transactions to the team.

Required profile

• Proven experience in agency or syndicated loan operations, handling complex transaction processing.
• Strong understanding of loan lifecycle, facility documentation and LMA/LSTA standards.
• Experience interacting directly with lenders, borrowers and external legal counsel.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple transactions under pressure.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (part of Microsoft Office suite).
• Familiarity with loan‑management systems such as LoanIQ or DebtDomain.
