Assistant Vice President, Procurement

About the role

The Assistant Vice President, Procurement will be based in London and will lead third‑party management activities across the organisation. Reporting to the Director of Procurement, the role supports CLS’s multi‑year transformation to deliver a frictionless, strategic procurement service that embeds risk culture and creates value.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a “book of work” covering vendors and spend categories throughout the full third‑party lifecycle – sourcing, commercial management, contracting and ongoing monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with Third‑Party Management policies, procedures and controls.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements, achieve cost savings and optimise commercial positions.
• Support the wider procurement team in delivering the functional agenda.
• Maintain and report on dashboards, trackers and other performance metrics for the book of work.

Required profile

• Degree‑educated (preferred) with at least 5 years of procurement experience.
• Proven expertise in contract review and negotiation.
• Strong task‑management ability to handle a high‑volume workload.
• Experience with corporate spend categories such as HR, Travel, Property & FM, Marketing, Legal and Professional Services.
• Experience in a regulated industry is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced use of the Microsoft Office suite for data analysis and decision‑making.
• Hands‑on experience with procurement systems such as Oracle Coupa and SAP/Ariba.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
