Associate Investment Consultant – Pensions

About the role

Join Gallagher Benefit Services as an Associate Investment Consultant focused on pension schemes and other institutional clients. You will work closely with trustees, boards and specialist teams to deliver tailored investment advice and support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients, overseeing key investment workstreams.
• Present clear, credible investment advice at trustee and client board meetings.
• Collaborate with specialists across sustainable investment, asset‑liability management, manager research and transition teams.
• Monitor client portfolios to ensure strategies remain effective and aligned with objectives.
• Mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Support business development by preparing proposals and contributing to new initiatives.
• Engage with the wider industry through thought leadership, blogs or conference participation.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in investment consulting or institutional investment, preferably with UK pension clients.
• Strong knowledge of capital markets and investment strategy.
• Confident communicator able to present to sophisticated clients.
• Proactive, organised and able to meet deadlines.
• Desirable: CFA, FIA or equivalent qualification (or working towards one); knowledge of sustainable investment principles; interest in contributing to industry discussions.
