Audit & Accounts Senior Manager – Eastbourne

About the role

We are seeking an Audit & Accounts Senior Manager to join a reputable Eastbourne practice. The role combines audit leadership with accounts and tax compliance, supporting a varied client base.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of corporate groups, owner‑managed businesses, charities and not‑for‑profit organisations.
• Lead audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring compliance with professional and ethical standards.
• Review statutory accounts preparation and corporation tax computations.
• Develop strong client relationships, understand key risks and deliver proactive service.
• Conduct audit file reviews and uphold regulatory and internal quality procedures.
• Support and mentor junior team members, overseeing workflow and professional development.
• Stay up‑to‑date with changes in audit and accounting legislation.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or AAT qualified with significant relevant experience.
• Minimum four years’ experience in an accountancy practice, including at least three years in audit.
• Strong technical knowledge of Companies Act, FRC Ethical Standards, UK GAAP FRS102, LLP SORP and UK audit standards.
• Experience managing audits from planning to completion.
• Excellent communication, organisational and time‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CCH, Xero, Sage and QuickBooks.
• In‑depth understanding of Companies Act requirements.
• FRC Ethical Standards.
• UK GAAP FRS102.
• LLP SORP.
• UK audit standards.
