Audit Manager

About the role

The Audit Manager will lead a diverse portfolio of audit engagements for a reputable accountancy practice in Surrey. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality audit services while building strong client relationships and supporting the development of junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of audit clients across multiple sectors from planning to completion.
• Review statutory accounts and audit files to ensure compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP.
• Provide practical regulatory and compliance guidance to clients.
• Mentor and coach junior team members, reviewing their work and offering technical support.
• Oversee workflow, deadlines and resource allocation to meet project timelines.
• Support partners with ad‑hoc advisory and business‑development projects.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Significant audit experience within a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP standards.
• Proven ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and client‑management skills.
