Audit Senior – Hybrid, £50k‑£60k

About the role

We are looking for an Audit Senior to join our expanding accountancy and business advisory firm in Epsom. This permanent, hybrid position offers a salary of £50,000‑£60,000 and will involve leading audit engagements for a diverse SME client base while supporting junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and complete audit assignments in line with internal methodology and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate, well‑organised audit files with appropriate supporting documentation.
• Analyse client accounting records, identify issues and provide recommendations.
• Serve as the primary day‑to‑day contact for clients, handling queries professionally.
• Prepare and review accounts, tax filings, PAYE and VAT submissions to meet statutory requirements.
• Mentor and support junior staff, ensuring timely delivery of high‑quality work.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve audit quality, efficiency and client satisfaction.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified (part‑qualified candidates will also be considered).
• Solid audit experience within an accountancy practice, with a track record of leading assignments.
• Strong understanding of audit documentation and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage time effectively.
• Professional, dependable and self‑motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with audit/accounting software.
