Audit Senior – Lead Audits in Leeds

About the role

This senior audit position is based in Leeds and involves leading audit engagements from planning through to completion for a varied portfolio of owner‑managed businesses. You will ensure compliance with UK auditing standards while delivering high‑quality service and building strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and finalise audit assignments, including risk assessments and audit plans.
• Supervise, mentor and review the work of junior team members.
• Interact directly with clients to resolve technical queries and maintain relationships.
• Collaborate with managers and partners to ensure delivery of high‑standard audit work.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and add value to client engagements.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or finalist) with solid audit experience in a practice environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK auditing standards and FRS 102.
• Proven ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.
