Automatic Door Engineer – South Yorkshire

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Automatic Door Engineer to service customers across South Yorkshire, covering Sheffield, Doncaster and Rotherham. You will deliver maintenance, repairs and fault‑finding on a variety of automatic door systems for retail, healthcare, transport and commercial sites.

Key responsibilities

• Service, repair and diagnose sliding, swing and revolving automatic doors.
• Perform electrical checks, sensor testing and control system diagnostics.
• Complete BS EN 16005 safety inspections and produce compliance documentation.
• Respond to breakdown calls and aim for first‑time fixes.
• Assist with installations and commissioning when required.
• Provide clear on‑site updates and maintain a professional service attitude.

Required profile

• Proven experience working with automatic door systems.
• Strong fault‑finding ability and basic electrical knowledge.
• Full UK driving licence and any relevant operating licences.
• Ability to work independently across multiple customer sites.
• Positive attitude and commitment to high‑quality engineering.

Required skills

• Automatic door servicing and repair.
• Electrical testing and diagnostics.
• Knowledge of BS EN 16005 safety standards.
