Azure Data Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an Azure Data Engineer to join a global leader in chemical cleaning and environmental solutions. The role is fully remote (UK‑based) and will focus on designing, building and optimising scalable data platforms within Azure to support the company’s data strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Python.
• Implement and manage data solutions on Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics and related services.
• Support integration and migration of key data sources into the Azure ecosystem.
• Write, optimise and maintain SQL queries for data transformation and processing.
• Monitor data quality, performance and reliability, troubleshooting issues as they arise.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer delivering cloud‑based solutions.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Solid understanding of ETL processes and data integration.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with Python or PySpark for data processing.
• Exposure to Power BI or similar reporting tools is a plus.
