Band 6 Speech & Language Therapist – North Aberdeenshire

About the role

This permanent Band 6 position offers the chance to join a thriving Speech & Language Therapy service in North Aberdeenshire. You will work from Ellon Health Centre, delivering community‑based therapy to children and young people aged 0‑18 across the surrounding area.

Key responsibilities

• Provide speech and language assessment and therapy to children and young people in clinic and home settings.
• Support a wide range of communication needs, including complex cases.
• Collaborate with a Band 3 health‑care support worker and multidisciplinary teams across Aberdeenshire.
• Utilise digital platforms and technology to deliver services and manage caseloads efficiently.

Required profile

• HCPC registration as a Speech & Language Therapist.
• Willingness to travel throughout rural North Aberdeenshire and access to a car.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and service improvement.

Required skills

• Assessment and intervention techniques for speech, language and communication disorders in children.
• Experience with digital health tools and tele‑practice.
