Bank Chef – Healthcare Facility

About the role

We are looking for a qualified chef who loves working with fresh seasonal food and values work‑life balance. This casual, part‑time position allows you to deliver hotel‑standard meals in a healthcare environment without split shifts or long weeks.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavourful and well‑balanced menus tailored to residents.
• Manage the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence, ensuring high‑quality dishes are produced.
• Work with fresh produce to deliver wholesome meals and maintain the highest culinary standards.
• Maintain a warm, efficient and enjoyable kitchen environment.
• Work within budget, complete regular audits and manage stock control.
• Help lead and motivate the kitchen team.

Required profile

• Personable, warm approach with genuine interest in residents’ wellbeing.
• City & Guilds, NVQ or SVQ (or equivalent) qualification.
• Experience leading and inspiring a team.
• Good understanding of nutrition and fresh seasonal food.
• Ability to create a welcoming environment for residents.
• Good understanding of HACCP.
