Bank Registered Nurse (RGN) – Care Home

About the role

As a Bank Registered Nurse (RGN) in a Barchester care home, you will support residents’ physical, psychological and social wellbeing. You will create a safe, supportive environment and use professional judgement to make critical clinical decisions while providing flexible cover for staff absences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement tailored care plans for each resident.
• Administer medication safely and accurately.
• Conduct detailed risk assessments and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide high‑quality, person‑centred nursing care across a range of physical and mental health needs.
• Cover shifts for annual leave, sick leave or other staffing gaps as required.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of clinical best practices.
• Experience creating comprehensive care plans and risk assessments.
• Understanding of DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines.
• Dedicated, compassionate and committed to a person‑centred approach.
