Behaviour Support Officer – Pastoral Manager for Year 11

About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Officer to act as the Pastoral Manager for Year 11 students. In this role you will support young people during their crucial exam year, helping them overcome behavioural and personal challenges and achieve their academic goals.
Key responsibilities
- Provide pastoral leadership and mentorship to all Year 11 students.
- Implement proactive, positive behaviour interventions and manage incidents.
- Work one‑to‑one or in small groups with pupils who need additional support.
- Collaborate with parents, guardians and teaching staff to ensure a holistic approach to student welfare.
- Maintain accurate records of interventions and progress.
Required profile
- Proven experience in pastoral care or behaviour support within a school setting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and de‑escalate challenging situations.
- Resilient, patient and empathetic, able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong commitment to supporting Year 11 students through exams and post‑school transitions.
