BMS Operations Manager

About the role

A growing BMS business is looking for an experienced BMS professional to build the operation behind it. This is a broad operational leadership role based in Essex with hybrid working, centred on delivering projects, service and engineering activity efficiently while bringing together people, projects, engineering, customers and commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day BMS operational activity and manage engineering and operational resources
• Improve processes, workflow and operational efficiency, and monitor project and service delivery
• Work closely with senior management on business performance and assist with commercial planning and resource forecasting
• Manage internal teams and external subcontractors, support recruitment and workforce planning
• Monitor KPIs and operational targets, maintain strong customer relationships and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Ensure operational activities meet company standards and H&S requirements

Required profile

• Significant BMS/building controls experience
• Previous operations, service, project or engineering management experience
• Strong understanding of BMS project delivery and service
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills
• Commercially aware with strong customer management ability
