Broking Director – Lead Insurance Broking Strategy

About the role

The Broking Director will shape and lead the next phase of growth for a fast‑expanding insurance business backed by a major international organisation. Reporting to senior leadership, you will develop a modern broking proposition that blends traditional expertise with technology, data‑driven insights and strategic partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a long‑term broking strategy aligned with business growth objectives.
• Build, mentor and lead a high‑performing broking team.
• Lead placement of large, complex commercial insurance programmes.
• Negotiate programme structure, pricing and capacity with insurers, reinsurers and Lloyd’s syndicates.
• Maintain and deepen relationships with insurers, strategic partners and senior leadership.
• Drive client development across sophisticated commercial and corporate accounts.
• Identify new commercial opportunities and cross‑business insurance prospects.
• Support the evolution of technology‑enabled and embedded insurance solutions.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in commercial insurance broking.
• Track record of building and managing high‑performing broking teams.
• Strong network with insurers, Lloyd’s markets and reinsurers.
• Demonstrated ability to design and place complex insurance programmes.
• Strategic mindset with a focus on growth and innovation.
