Bus Driver Trainer Assessor – Apprenticeship & Induction Mentor

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Bus Driver Trainer Assessors to join our team in Cambridge. The role is split between delivering apprenticeship training and providing enrolment and induction support for new bus drivers. You will work on a hybrid basis, combining classroom, online and on‑bus sessions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and assess Level 2 Apprenticeship Standards for Passenger Transport Services (Bus Driver).
• Conduct classroom, group‑based and online training sessions.
• Perform field‑based assessments and record professional discussions.
• Support learners through enrolment, induction and on‑bus mentorship.
• Tailor induction content to individual learner needs based on initial assessments.
• Maintain accurate learner records and monitor progress.
• Manage diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews.

Required profile

• Valid PCV and CPC licences.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Minimum two years’ experience as a bus driver.
• Proven experience training or mentoring bus drivers on‑the‑job.
• Flexibility to travel as required.
