Business Analyst – Outside IR35 – Hybrid

About the role
SDL Solutions Limited is looking for a Business Analyst on a 12‑month contract to translate complex product ideas into clear, actionable software requirements. Working in a hybrid model, you will own the Azure DevOps backlog and ensure traceability to Polarion, supporting delivery of embedded systems and automation platform features.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain a structured backlog in Azure DevOps, creating Features and User Stories from product vision and legacy requirements.
- Define acceptance criteria, capture non‑functional requirements and document traceability between Azure DevOps and Polarion.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to refine, plan and prioritize work.
- Analyse User Requirement Specifications (URS) and legacy material to guide feature definition.
Required profile
- Minimum 6 years experience as a Business Analyst in software development.
- Strong proficiency in Azure DevOps backlog management.
- Ability to learn or work with Polarion for traceability.
- Excellent written English, detail‑oriented and self‑starting.
