Business Continuity Manager

About the role

The Business Continuity Manager will lead the design, implementation and ongoing improvement of the organisation's business continuity and resilience framework. Reporting to the Head of Assurance, you will ensure that internal operations and client‑managed services remain robust against disruption, regulatory scrutiny and emerging risks such as cybersecurity and AI usage.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve a Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) aligned with ISO 22301.
• Lead and maintain up‑to‑date Business Impact Analyses (BIA) for critical IT systems and services.
• Conduct periodic system‑level business continuity audits and assurance activities.
• Establish and manage a structured testing framework for continuity exercises, documenting results and evaluating readiness.
• Oversee disaster recovery readiness for client‑managed environments and coordinate with external suppliers.
• Produce monthly preparedness reports for executive leadership.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 22301, ISO 27001, GDPR and other relevant regulations.
• Promote continuity awareness and training across the organisation.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in continuity management within a service‑delivery or regulated environment.
• Proven track record of conducting BIAs, maturity assessments and continuity testing.
• Relevant qualification in business continuity, risk management or a related field.

What we offer

• Permanent contract with a salary of £55,000‑£65,000 per year.
