Business Development Consultant – Graduate (UK)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Business Development Consultant to join a leading sustainability and recycling conglomerate operating across 29 countries. This graduate‑level position is based in Luton and offers a structured, accredited training programme designed to launch a career in B2B sales.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within an assigned UK territory.
• Build and nurture relationships with key accounts, including NHS suppliers, hotel chains and major retailers.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs.
• Achieve quarterly sales targets and contribute to the company’s expansion plans.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or graduate‑calibre candidate with a strong interest in sales.
• Self‑driven, resilient and comfortable working in a target‑oriented environment.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Commitment to professional development and internal career progression.

Required skills

• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to analyse market data and identify opportunities.
• Proficiency in using CRM or sales tracking tools (experience with any CRM is beneficial).

What we offer

• Basic salary £28k‑£30k with realistic OTE of £50k in the first year.
• £5,500 per annum car allowance, fuel card, private healthcare and pension.
