Business Development Executive

About the role

Join CPM as a Business Development Executive representing Diageo’s leading drinks brands in the off‑trade retail sector. You will work across a wide territory in and around Chelmsford, visiting major grocery multiples to increase brand awareness and maximise in‑store opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Visit off‑trade multiple retailers (e.g., ASDA, Tesco, Sainsbury's, Morrisons) on your territory to promote Diageo brands.
• Advise key stakeholders on promotions, ensure agreed shelf space and displays are in place, and use data to monitor stock levels.
• Develop bespoke business plans, make recommendations to store managers, and report activities via tablet.

Required profile

• Motivated sales professional with a passion for premium alcohol brands.
• Tenacious, target‑driven and commercially minded, able to analyse in‑store data.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills and ability to influence decision‑makers.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Required skills

• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to interpret sales data and create business plans.
