Business Development Manager – Construction & Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join a fast‑growing company operating in the construction and infrastructure sector. Based in Greater Glasgow, you will combine business development, marketing and event leadership to drive new revenue and strengthen client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve revenue targets.
• Identify and secure new opportunities across existing and emerging markets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and industry partners.
• Represent the company at networking events, exhibitions, conferences and industry functions.
• Plan and deliver corporate hospitality programmes, including sporting events, formal dinners and awards evenings.
• Support marketing campaigns and brand‑awareness initiatives.
• Prepare and present proposals, presentations and other business development materials.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to uncover new opportunities.

Required profile

• Minimum HND qualification in Marketing, Business Studies, Event Management or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in business development, marketing, account management or events.
• Proven track record of building successful client relationships.
• Excellent communication, networking and presentation abilities.
• Strong organisational and project‑management skills.
• Professional, personable and confident in client‑facing environments.
• Self‑motivated with a proactive work ethic.
• Full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK.
