Business Development Manager – Government Services

About the role

Leidos is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to lead growth within its Government Services portfolio in the UK. The role focuses on building a multi‑year pipeline of opportunities, engaging senior government stakeholders, and positioning Leidos as a trusted partner for complex operational and digital transformation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development campaigns that contribute to annual awards and long‑term growth targets.
• Build, maintain and mature a 3–5 year pipeline of qualified opportunities aligned with UK Government priorities and Leidos strategic objectives.
• Establish and strengthen relationships with senior government stakeholders, partners and industry influencers.
• Identify, shape and qualify opportunities that match Leidos capabilities and customer outcomes.
• Act as the voice of the customer throughout the opportunity lifecycle, supporting capture and bid teams with differentiated solutions.
• Lead stakeholder engagement activities, market analysis and competitive positioning.

Required profile

• Senior‑level business development professional with a strong understanding of UK Government priorities, procurement models and buying behaviours.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across business development colleagues, capture managers, solution architects, delivery teams and strategic partners.
• Highly motivated, customer‑first mindset and capable of influencing senior stakeholders.
