Business Development Manager – Skills & Training

About the role

We are looking for a driven Business Development Manager to expand employer partnerships and deliver training solutions within the fast‑growing energy, utilities and sustainability sectors. The role combines sales, relationship management and workforce development to support client skill gaps across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and convert new employer partnerships in energy, utilities and sustainability.
• Promote commercial training, apprenticeships and funded training programmes.
• Analyse skills gaps and design tailored workforce development solutions.
• Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to long‑term partnership.
• Organise and lead networking events, conferences and other business development activities.
• Meet and exceed revenue and partnership targets.

Required profile

• Proven B2B/employer engagement experience, preferably in technical construction, energy or related sectors.
• Strong knowledge of at least one vocation: energy, utilities or sustainability.
• Commercial mindset with a track record of meeting sales targets.
• Self‑motivated, organised and target‑driven.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.
