Buyer – Supplier Portfolio Management

About the role
The Buyer will own, maintain and develop an assigned portfolio of suppliers and products for a manufacturing client based in Surrey. You will build strong, performance‑managed relationships to ensure continuity of supply, drive down cost and risk, and keep stock and service levels on target.
Key responsibilities
- Own and maintain an assigned portfolio of suppliers.
- Hold regular supplier reviews and ensure terms and agreements are up to date.
- Negotiate pricing, rebates and lead times to meet cost and margin targets.
- Place and expedite purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery.
- Maintain correct stock levels and monitor service performance.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a Buyer within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven negotiation experience and supplier management skills.
- Strong numeracy and written communication abilities.

- Microsoft Outlook
- Microsoft Excel
- ERP/MRP system proficiency
