Cafe Manager, Peterhead

About the role

Morrisons is looking for a Cafe Manager for its Queen Street store in Peterhead. Reporting directly to the Store Manager, you will run a welcoming, vibrant cafe that serves hundreds of local customers each day, from breakfast to coffee and cake. The post is permanent, 40 hours per week, Monday to Sunday, 7am to 11pm.

Key responsibilities

• Empower your team to deliver friendly, attentive service and listen to customer feedback
• Manage shift rosters, attendance and talent development, including training
• Drive performance and standards, guiding colleagues toward operational and sales targets
• Plan resources, manage daily routines and build good working relationships with other store departments
• Keep food safety, waste and stock availability under control
• Step up as Manager in Charge when needed in the store

Required profile

• Experience leading and supporting a team in a fast-paced food or hospitality environment
• Ability to communicate naturally, share knowledge and handle challenges calmly
• Active listener who acts on customer and colleague feedback
• Practical approach to department routines, food safety, waste and stock
• Background in hospitality, retail, leisure or travel
