Capital Markets Off-Cycle Analyst Internship 2027

About the role

IK Partners is seeking a Capital Markets Off‑Cycle Analyst for a full‑time, office‑based internship of five months starting January 2027. You will work closely with investment professionals on the assessment, structuring and execution of LBO financing for European opportunities and existing portfolio companies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with financial analysis, modelling, due diligence, structuring and documentation, as well as portfolio monitoring for LBO financing.
• Investigate market trends in debt capital markets, including private debt, leveraged loans and high‑yield instruments.
• Support the preparation of presentations and maintain relevant databases.

Required profile

• Relevant academic background such as finance, economics or engineering with an excellent academic record.
• Prior internship experience (ideally six months) in private equity, venture capital, investment banking, M&A advisory, strategic consulting or similar fields; capital markets or leveraged finance exposure is a plus.
• Strong financial literacy and analytical mindset.
• High attention to detail.
