Cash-in-Transit Driver (CIT Operative)

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Cash‑in‑Transit (CIT) Driver to join our operations team. You will be responsible for securely moving cash, coins and valuables between customer sites across the UK, following a four‑on, four‑off rotating shift pattern.

Key responsibilities

• Safely transport cash, coins and other valuables to and from designated customer locations, including ATM replenishment.
• Follow established security procedures and company protocols throughout each journey.
• Inspect and maintain the vehicle used for transport, reporting any issues promptly.
• Adhere to traffic, parking regulations and company safety policies at all times.
• Maintain accurate records of cash amounts, locations and transaction details.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients to ensure timely deliveries.
• Handle unforeseen situations professionally to minimise disruption.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record (preferred).
• Previous experience in a security or SIA role is advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and manoeuvre in confined spaces.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
• No live CCJs, IVAs or bankruptcy declarations.
