Catering Assistant – John Lewis, Milton Keynes

About the role

Catering Assistants work in the partner dining rooms at John Lewis locations, serving fellow Partners. The role is fast-paced and focuses on food preparation and presentation standards, with support for other catering tasks such as stock replenishment and storage of deliveries. The position is based at Magna Park National Distribution Centre in Buckinghamshire.

Key responsibilities

• Work as a team to deliver a smooth catering service.
• Provide a friendly, welcoming attitude to Partners.
• Follow Health and Safety at Work Act and Food Safety Act procedures.
• Keep stock replenished and available for customers.
• Reduce food wastage by rotating stock carefully.
• Resolve operational issues promptly and maintain personal hygiene standards.

Required profile

• Applicants must be 18 or over.
• Previous catering experience.
• Experience in a forward-thinking, customer-facing environment.
• Desirable: Food Safety level 2 and 3.

• Pay of £13.05, rising to £13.30 after 90 days; 20 hours per week, Sunday to Thursday, 23:15 to 03:15.
