Chartered Building Surveyor – Hybrid Working

About the role

We are seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor to join a well‑established surveying practice in Devon. The position offers a hybrid working model, a varied portfolio of residential and commercial projects, and strong administrative support.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out Level 2 Home Surveys and, where possible, Level 3 Building Surveys.
• Prepare detailed, professional survey reports for both residential and commercial clients.
• Manage dilapidations instructions and produce associated reports.
• Conduct expert‑witness reports when required.
• Handle party wall matters and provide consultancy advice.
• Deliver high‑quality advice and service across all instructions.

Required profile

• MRICS or FRICS qualified, or currently progressing through the APC pathway.
• Proven experience delivering Level 2 Building Surveys; Level 3 experience preferred.
• Knowledge of dilapidations and project work is advantageous.
• Strong report‑writing and technical surveying abilities.
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
