Chef - Part Time

About the role

Venture Hotels, the ventures arm of Greene King, is hiring a part-time Chef for its Sun Hotel in Hitchin. The role suits someone with a passion for food and a keen eye for quality who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen. The position is permanent and scheduled for 30 hours per week, with pay of up to £13.25 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food that meets specifications and customer expectations.
• Maintain hygiene levels and safety regulations in the kitchen to protect the team and visitors.
• Communicate clearly with the team to deliver high-quality meals on time.
• Keep up to date with new products, menus and promotions.

Required profile

• Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen and pull together as a team.
• Passion for delivering tasty, well-presented meals.
• Willingness to get stuck in, learn new skills and help in different parts of the kitchen.
• Sufficient spoken and written English to work safely and understand allergen controls.
